Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Auberge, and I must admit, my culinary experience was a highlight. The restaurant, Le Mirador, boasts a creative menu that captivated my taste buds. I tried the Atlantic salmon tartare, which was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. It's not every day I find refined dishes that showcase local ingredients, especially in such an intimate setting. The ambiance added to the dining experience as well. With a modern bar, L'espadon, just a stone's throw away, I enjoyed a refreshing cocktail before dinner. The versatility of the drink menu, featuring a range of local tap beers and wines, complemented the meal superbly. While the hotel itself was quite comfortable and the staff were friendly and attentive, the standout for me was undoubtedly the restaurant. My grandsons were delighted with their thoughtful menu choices, steering clear of the typical fast-food fare. If I had to mention a minor issue, the washroom facilities could benefit from a bit more space. It was a fabulous getaway that celebrates exceptional dining amid stunning surroundings.
